This one day training introduces congregational leadership; both clergy and laity, to the “big picture” of the congregational team approach. Participants learn of current applicable research, potential levels of involvement for congregations, the team approach to prevention and recovery support, and common barriers. Congregational leaders are given guidance for leading the team, tools to assess congregational needs and resources, and methods to gain support from the congregation and recruit a team to initiate an alcohol and other drug ministry.
